Elon Musk is the founder, CEO, CTO and chief designer of SpaceX; early investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; co-founder of Neuralink; and co-founder and initial co-chairman of OpenAI. 

Musk focuses on his audacious goal of changing the world for the better and executing on them even if the chances of failure may be high. He focuses on thinking from first-principles, takes huge risks, reads a lot of books, hires great people, and admits working ~100 hours a week for several years now. Also, his previous successes in building Zip2 and X.com (now PayPal) enabled him to raise money to do the impossible.

MARGARET HAMILTON

Margaret Hamilton is a self taught programmer who was the director of the Software Engineering Division of the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory, which developed on-board flight software for NASA’s Apollo program that ensured the safe landing and return of astronauts from their first ever journey to the moon in 1969. She later founded two software companies—Higher Order Software in 1976 and Hamilton Technologies in 1986.

At that time, there were no code bases or earlier software projects to learn from. The software and programming techniques had to be created from scratch. Her rigorous approach in creating programs was so successful that no software bugs were ever known to have occurred during any crewed Apollo missions. She’s also credited with coining the term, “software engineering”.
